    Need help

    Hey guys I recently bought a 1999 296 pro with a 200 Mercury efi. Right now it has a 23p and my hole shot is horrible with live wells full and full tank of gas. I have the 10” jack plate and the ptp is at 3.5” right now I’m running 55 max on the gps at 4800 with the hot foot to the floor and trimmed up till it chinewalks. And advise will help. Thanks

    Engine healthy? That engine should spin the 23 to the moon. Your max rpms are low for that engine. What rpms are you turning when trying to get on plane. What prop vented or no?
