Coming to Bull Shoals middle of April, advice?

Coming down to visit my folks in Mountain Home around the weekend of April 14-15. Plan on trying to get out on Bull Shoals at least a day or two. I’m hoping the fish will be up in the bushes in the backs of the creeks. What’s your guys thoughts? How far along are the bass right now? Might want to see if I can get a crappie too. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Was just down there last week, we were up in the theodosia arm. Think the fishing will be great for you at that time, they were already up in the sticks, but bites were few, so by then they should be more active. The main lake was clearer but we never made it down there, better for smallmouth but we ran out of time, we had cold mornings. think you will do well with crank baits, jerks, and spinners. that will be a great time to be there, was too cold last week.
