This looks pretty good... Ready to put the Ultrex on next... Will take some updated pictures soon... I picked my Champion 188 Elite on April 5, 2005. Hope to have this project done by it's 13 birthday.

Amazon has a sheet from Blacktip jetsports. It basically the same stuff that the Cool foot trolling motor stuff is. There is another manufacturer called Seadek. Maybe one of our sponsors have it not sure. The sheet is 6'x4' so I have enough left over to make another. I don't think it will last 12 years like the original rubber pad but it does install easily with 3M adhesive backed peel and stick on it. They have many colors patterns to choose from.

You can order with, or without the backing. I had a sheet sanded down to 3mm. $110 to my door.

Looks great man! Very clean install, and I like the matching mesh cover you put over the cables. Is that a rod glove you cut to fit?

learned a lot from others... took our time and mocked the set up a few times... noticed that Ultrex rear buttons would be hard to access with foot because well was to deep... made 2 nylon blocks to raise the foot control about 1"... we left a space under foot control between blocks to run power cord... have always direct wired my trolling motors to prevent any voltage loss or short outs from waves or heavy rain... rod sock was used for wires and so far have no interference on Lowrance structure scan or trolling motor transducer. Have only used the boat twice since install but so far really liking everything... like the way trolling motor cable comes straight out and when motor deployed it goes right over HDS7 upfront. I like to go down the bank left to right when possible so HDS being there is much easier on the neck looking straight down. should have enough room for second Lowrance unit soon also.
