I've never been a big proponent of Grand even though I have a place with dock on it. My wife spends endless hours crappie fishing there. And the kids and grand kids swim and boat.
I've noticed a down turn the last several years. I used to take the grandkids fishing for white bass but even finding them is tough. Last year was the worst ever.
Crappie fishing is decent I guess. But I don't do much of that.

that's not that bad for a 46000 acre lake, fish a 3000 acre lake with 119 boats, now that's a little crowded.

I have fished grand a lot the last five years and I think it’s down in quality. That is only my personal opinion though, that and I’ve never been any good on the lake any way! I do however think it’s way over fished. I think there are still plenty of quality fish in the lake, I just think they see too many lures is all! It’ll definitely be interesting when the elites are there, we’ll all get to see what happens!

You should take a day and drive down the road a few minutes to Hudson lake. Most of it is shallow and there's some dangerous areas for running but it gets a lot less pressure and has some giants in it.

Ditto on Hudson and being careful. Never have learned how to run in the lake. Spend most of my time in the river
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.
