    Fastest Bird

I know there is a numbers thread here, but looking for info on the fastest bird out there and their setups..I'm having a hard time getting my 20 PHX past the 80 mph mark with 1/2 fuel, one person and full fishing load...I'm stuck at 79.8mph..tried bunch of props, took 190lbs out of boat with Lithium Pros, etc...it's like I'm hitting a aerodynamic wall at 80.. is anyone actually hitting 82-83(real, gps numbers)in a bird without stripping butts, seats, graphs, gear, etc??

Not really. Fastest I’ve hit was 79.5 and on average I can’t break 78.5

At 79.8 your at the max. You can take a few things out and go light and probably hit 80

Running that extra 50hp should get you to 80 on that perfect day but 83 is going to be hard to hit. those butt seats will slow you down, I have read some of your post ans seen you were trying different props but have you actually had one BP&B and setup for your boat and setup for top end speed.

You'll gain a touch once you get 50-60 hrs on the motor and it loosens up. Probably need to run a labbed prop to get you where you want to be. Probably a labbed 27 t-1/t-2 or fxp. Bravo's get fast when labbed as well.

26 T1 worked is going to be a better, if you haven't tried a 26 yet, run one first and then get it BP, a stock 26 should bump the limiter at 6250 at about 79 have it worked and rpms about 6100 and maybe pick up 2mph, all the numbers say you need that 27 to hit 83 but even with the extra HP I just dont think it will ever turn enough rpms., if you are willing to keep trying props you will hit on that magic one,
    good luck and be safe.

I've got a stock T1-26...it doesn't lift well at all..it falls flat in high 60's..slowly increase into 70's topping out about 76 at about 6250...I'll send it to Mark and see what happens..

If you have a power poles angles and back a little when you're running you'll hit 80

I wonder what a lab finish would gain him in rpm on the 27 though. 150-200 rpm seems to be common but that's generally bravos where being thinned negates the extra drag of the 4th blade. I don't think I've never seen anyone talk about having a sho prop done.

The labbed Bravo's are known for slingin blades when you "chop" water.
If you must break 80 mph, get that motor flashed to a 300 hp. Still doubt you'll hit 83 tho.

What is your PTP when at top speed?
