    So I did it again.

Slung another blade on a bravo 1 this time. 18.56 in the live well we had headed back with 1 hour 15 min till weight in had 1 more place to try close. About 2 miles from the ramp she slung , we trolled about 30 min then the tournament director towed us the rest of the way. We got 2nd place 1st had 18.68.
Going to take everyone's advise and pack a spare prop and wrench from now on.

The prop wasn't flawless there was alot of crap floating and I took my pro et off I was worried about damaging it. The bravo had been repaired for a blade crack before and had some slight improfections. But it seems like 18lbs and my boat is Destin to sling a blade.
My partner was like " why doesn't this boat want us to make a damn check" lol

I’m sure you do but do you check your prop “real” close all over for any issues before every outing...?

I have slacked on that lately. I usually give everything a good look over back there when pulling the plug and and putting the motor on the stick

I’ve found 3 cracks that were really hard to see unless you were really looking for one. No doubt ida lost a blade if not caught. I’ll prolly lose one next time out you never know...

Run a hydraulic jack plate, When i just cruz i dunk my motor 2" below pad. I get better fuel mileage this way, less hard on props, better topend, better holeshot etc...That's just a few of the long list of benfits of running a hydraulic plate.

I think he meant better top end cause with the hydro he can jack it up when airing the boat out... but yeah it was written in a confusing way
