I just got out today on a small pond not far from me. Caught 6 largemouth on a mixed bag of a spider jig, ned rig, and dropshot. My buddy caught 3, all on the same 1/2 oz skirted jig with 4" craw trailer, all black and blue. He also caught the three biggest fish of the day, but all 9 fish caught came off of one spot in about a 30 minute window when the sun had been out in full force for an hour or so. All of these fish were in 5-10 feet of water, but the biggest was in the shallowest area.

The picture doesn't really do it justice, but this thing was a monster. 7 lbs 7 oz, and his new personal best. Previous was 5 lbs 2 oz he caught with me almost exactly 2 years ago. Same deal, first day out, fishing an isolated boulder pile in the same depth, doing the same damn thing with the same bait. Just a different pond.

I'm going to try to get out this week, with the warmer weather on Wednesday and Thursday. Kingston has been out for a few weeks now. I know everyone here hates it, but that place has been good to me the last few years.
I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.

One of the few perks of the front of my house and the driveways facing south, with almost no trees across the street to block the sun. Gets miserably hot out front in the summer, but it melts out all of the snow stupid quick.
