Early June Trip to Marion & Moultrie

1st two weeks in June. 160,000 acres. Where to start.

I want fish upper Marion at that time. Are there better spots on the lake? Interested in some frog fishing 1st 2 weeks in June. Of course I'd like to also fish any/all areas where I can catch largemouth.

Thinking about Mac's Landing Camp. My wife has read reviews about some of the other camps and any reviews about roach infestations in rooms or cabins is an auto-rule-out.

Can anyone tell me anythings about Mac's Landing Camp? Good fishing at that time near Macs? Baits at that time? Colors?

I recognize that I may need to trailer my boat to some of the spots. That's OK.

Willing to accept any and all feedback.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

As I type this I'm sitting in a VRBO rental lake house on Marion. This is my first trip here. I hired a guide on my first day and it really helped. If you are going to be here for several days, try to book a guide early in the trip. The people are very friendly here and the scenery is awesome. I hope that you have a great trip.

The upper end of Lake Marion would be a good choice for early June.
