    Small Repairs ‘06 519VX Phase IV



    Repairs on plastic panels. JB weld, epoxy and glass cloth. This will stabilize the panel. The finish was ok on these.


    New plastic pedestal sleeve. Chisel out the old and glue the new in. Wooden seating tool comes with from Ranger.


    Gelcoat repair. Rubbing from the original trolling motor.


    Automated bilge repaired. Had enough of the old nipple to Dremel fit a new plastic fitting over. JB Weld inside and out. New pump $90 my repair $3.

    What was the reason for the weld on the panel where the screws go ?

    Ranger has discontinued most of these panels. They start to stress fracture from age and exposure the the elements. The JB weld around the holes bonds the corners and strengthen them. Then reinforce the entire back of the panel with fiberglass cloth and plastic epoxy. This should keep them nice for years to come.
