    TM Mount Compatibility

    I have an older Motorguide TM, and need a new mount.

    My question is, will my trolling motor fit in any motorguide mount?

    Or do I have to get the specific one designed for my TM?

    You said Older. 1997 to about 2001 are different. Around 2000 they Started to make the mounts with a door assembly. From that point up to All Motor Guide troll motors are interchangeable with any Motor Guide mount. X Series will only fit in X Series mount. Older models like Brute, Tour, Pro and Fresh water series will not fit in X series mount. Nor will the X Series Troll Motors fit in the fore mentioned mounts.
