    2014 Nitro Z8 and 2014 Mercury Pro XS

    Hey guys, I currently run a 25 tempest plus on my Mercury Pro XS 250 and my hole shot feels like i have a heavy load, i'm gonna be adding power poles soon and i was wondering what other prop and above pad you guys would recommend for best hole shot and speed, any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Has your boat changed in performance or has it always been like that? If your WOT RPM is below max by atleast 300, if possible, if you could borrow one, try a 24 Tempest Plus at around 2-3/4 PTP for starters. Keep an eye on your water pressure. I've heard most 25's needed work.

    Its been like that since i purchased it from a marina in kentucky, i believe my rpms at wot is around 5200

    Sounds like you have other issues if you can only achieve 5200 RPM @ WOT. Is the RPM reading from a Smartcraft device?
