Replacement Glass for Humminbird Onix 10si

I did a really stupid thing and accidentally slapped the front panel of my Humminbird unit with a spinnerbait while making a quick cast. The panel and screen still work and are not distorted at all. The outer glass that you touch though is cracked. Anyone know what is involved with replacing the glass. Figure it is probably like replacing the glass on a phone and not a big deal but don't know where to get it. Called Humminbird and they want $499 to repair + cost of shipping both ways. It is fully functional, but the Onix has been a disappointment since day 1 and I don't want to put $500+ more into it. Any suggestions?

If you don't like it why spend the money? I don't think that glass can be replaced. I think it is fused to the lcd screen. I think the whole screen will have to be replaced. You could try to sell it as is but I doubt you will get much for it. I like mine and I would spend the money. I doubt you will be able to get it fixed anywhere else. Bob

If you can handle the cracks, install an ipad screen protector cut to fit.
It's what I did on an old graph until I got it fixed.

Caution, you graph may not be watertight anymore.
