    Question Ranger RT 178 fuel tank question

    I've owned a 2018 RT 178 for about six months now and I've noticed the fuel tank builds up pressure when it's just sitting. You can see that the fuel tank is expanded and a lot of pressure escapes when you open the fill cap. Is this normal or should the fuel tank vent on it's own?

    Thats normal with the anti evaporative emission tanks.

    Blame the EPA, actually causes leakage in the smaller carbed models. So don't know what they are thinking with a fuel slick behind the boat. Well, at least no vapors released....lol
