    Air injector issues?

I have an 01 225 Opti OT383251. 175 hours. Noticed carbon on prop and plugs. Had new plugs and fuel filter installed. Took out first time and it ran fine first run. On second, it started surging and I loaded it up. Took out next day and again it ran fine first run. Second run, started surging again so I loaded it up. Took to mechanic and he said 4 of the air injectors were shorted to ground. Those 4 new plugs were also black after total of maybe 30 minutes run time. Should I replace all 6 injectors? Any other concerns or advice?

If they are indeed shorted to ground- they need replaced.

If they simply read resistance to ground- the READING is important (greater than 1000 ohms is permissible).

They may simply be partialy clogged not allowing enough air to pass. 50/50 chance that they may clean up if clogged with carbon. This condition is mostlikely caused by rich or flooding fuel injectors. If debries is from failing compresor chances of recovery are much lower. Resistance in k or mil ohm to ground is acceptable.
