Dang Andy, when are you going to start selling boats? I may want in on that lol. Maybe open a custom shop too. Just kidding around, I'm glad to see you doing well with this stuff.

What is the overall consensus on the Gatorbaks? My two concerns are powerloading (giving it 3K to touch the bow roller) and below freezing temps here in the North?

I don't have to power load anymore. The gatorbaks just let the boat slide right up. Get off and hook it up and crank it up a few inches.

I have been running my Gatorbaks for 19 months now and they are holding up very well, the boards will need some time to settle and warp to fit the boat and then it will be very smooth loading. I did use a silicone spray on mine for a while when they were new buy not anymore. I dont find it necessary to power load. most of the time it slides up to the roller close enough to wench it about a 1/2 a crank and go but it it falls short because I have the trailer to far out of the water a may bump it one time but I would not consider that power loading. A plus side to Gatorbaks up north is no frozen wet carpet, they are dry minutes after the boat come out of the water, as far as holding up the cold will not hurt them.
There are many of us on this forum using Gatorbaks and from what I have read in the past couple of years everyone seems very happy with the results.

How are they on a steep ramp? Does the boat slide back when loading?

Honestly we dont have steep ramps in North Carolina so I will let someone else chime in but they are not slick at all and seem to adhere to the boat one you stop but yet slide smoothly on and off the bunks..

Easy solution for slide back on ramp is a half inch thick piece of wood or a pop bottle cap stuck in between the throttle stop on your hot foot to keep it just above idle.. I had to do that on every ramp with a 3 blade prop.

Mine will but I usually just leave it in gear and it only slides an inch or two, not all the way off the roller. It's easy to crank it back up with the strap. I've launched at some ramps where it's almost best to back in super deep and just hook the boat up and ease up and let the boat line itself up. Those are kind of a pain and I'm sure I look like a rookie but by yourself you have to do what you can do
