    Onboard Charger

I am looking at replacing my onboard charger. I want a 3 bank charger. My trolling motor batteries are AGM and my starting battery is a wet cell. What are your recommendations on brands and charging amps?

Won't go wrong with the 3-bank Dual Pro Professional @ 15 amps per bank.

MK 360 PC for 15 amp per bank, but if have the coin go for a 4 Bank, if ever want to add a house battery, or strictly for FF. or even have a spare bank if ever have one burn out, all have to do is take fuse out of 4th bank..

My ranger has one that came with it. However, I put a Minn Kota in my last boat and it was great.

If iI had to replace mine, my personal order of preference is:

    1) Dual Pro (Sportsmens or Pro Series with Delta Volt)
    2) MInn Kota (PC series)
    3) Powermania (Turbo V2 series)

Besides being high quality chargers, the above will properly charge all of the popular flooded and AGM batteries used in bass boats (including Odyssey), whereas most others will not. 10 amps per bank would be the minimum.

Dual pro great chargers and great service. I have one on a triton years back and it had an issue. The warranty was up but I still sent it in for repair. They called me a few days after they received it stated the issue was fixed at no charge even though my warranty was up for 3 years. All I had to pay was the shipping. $30... when I got it back it was like brand new. They replaced everything basically just the body was original. I will never run another brand, bravo dual pro

dual pro chargers can be repaired (by factory) ...............minnkota chargers can not (or I should say , they will not repair them) . I have owned both and they are both great chargers. I currently own a dual pro professional in case it ever needs a repair.

I saw where Bass Cat is selling the NOCO Genius 3 for $150! Don't know how good the NOCO is, but that is a great price for any 3 bank charger.

How difficult is the removal and installation of one of these? I have a 2 bank on my boat but run 2 trolling motor batteries and 1 crank and want to upgrade to a 3 bank. I don't know how the positioning will work because two of my batteries (trolling) are on the passenger (port) side and one (crank) is on the driver (starboard) side.

I just had to change out by bass pro 3 bank went with the mk 315d I think the quality and build is much better than the bass pro at the same price. Bassman I don’t think you would have any problems most of the chargers I have seen will easily reach from one side to the other, the hardest part is figuring out where you wanna mount it and drill the holes. That was my only issue due to the fact your working in a pretty small space.
