    Gambler Tournament Trail

Just wondering if you guys miss the Gambler owners tournament trail? I fished Watts Bar, Ohio River, Potomac River, Toho, and Santee. It was the most fun and friendly guys I have ever fished with. At Watts Bar pre-fishing, I had to tow in Tommy Lythgow who blew an engine. That night I drew him as my partner for the next day. He has been a lifelong friend ever since. I really miss those days.

Yes I fished every clash they had, and lost the boat by 2 ounces one year.

I was at Toho in 1998 when Ben was throwing a black/blue fleck yamamoto I thought they gave away 209's same color and year as mine at the time.

They were qualifying tournaments put on by Gambler. They had one here on Santee & another one on Lake Murray.I helped them out with both of them. They were 1st class, complete with a factory support trailer & stage. My buddy,Jim Marshall(deceased)qualified on Santee for the tournament in Florida & finished 3rd.

I'd be in for a Gambler only tourney.... We've got SC,TN,NC,IN,TX and FL all represented on this post so far! Let's do something in a somewhat central location like a South Carolina or something. Maybe even a Lake Murray I'd be in... I live in West Tennessee now so please ignore my location address. I'm not saying SC cause I live there... I'm like 10hrs away. It just seems central. I've got another G here in West,Tn I fish with all the time he'd be in too. Just sayin it would be cool to have a G only tournament even if there is or there isn't any Gambler factory involvement. Although it would be cool to have some sort of representative there. I'd bet there would even be a few boats sold if they did that sort of thing...
