Fenders (bumpers) for the Ranger RT hulls?

Hey, can anyone recommend what type of fenders (bumpers) work well on the RT hulls, based on your experience...?

They have bumpers specifically made for the rt line. It's on their rangerwear website.

I use these on my RT188. I have been pleased with them so far. I started out with the cheap contour bumpers. They worked, but I definitely like the Akua product better. These are the same fenders that are offered on the Rangerwear site.

I bought 2 of the RT bumpers from Ranger and they work good and stay in place too.

If you want to spend a third more buy the Akuas from Ranger. You can get them on ebay or order them direct from Akua for a lot less. Great boat fenders for the aluminum crowd. It doesn't matter if you have a Ranger, Tracker or other manufacturers boat they really are nice.

I have the Ranger ones like the Akua hard plastic kind. I've ended up liking these better.
Don't have to worry about the suction cups coming off. Just slip the rope loop over the cleet and go.

Bosh - my cleats are on top of the gunwale, is the 188 the same? The Tailor Made type works well w/ that cleat config? Trick is to have little slack in the rope, I guess, to keep the fender tight on top the gunwale?

If you could shoot a pic that would be awesome...

That may affect how they lay on the gunwale...

I have never seen the tailor made bumpers before I like the style and might try one myself. I have the common style you throw over the side and some flat rectangle ones from Bass Pro and neither one work great.

These are the style I use and they work great. I bought some paracord that I use for these and a lot of boat related stuff. That cord is super easy to use and strong.

Panama, my only concern is how this type would lay on the gunwale, based on my cleats being top/center of the gunwale vice the inside edge, which I believe is the 188 configuration (please confirm). I agree, I do like the Tailor Made style / design.

My thinking is that if my para-cord (lanyard) was pretty tight it may be effective, but it would be on top of the cleat and I'm just not sure if that will provide adequate gunwale protection... Thoughts?

I use the above combined with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
for my '14 Tracker. Works well since Tracker cleats are on top of rail and poorly positioned for bumper protection. I use one pair of the perkos fore and aft on each side of the boat with one pair of the bumpers.

Wish I could help...and I understand what you are asking. I just don't know. If it did not match up, I figure the fender buoy could be adapted a little with some silicone on the bottom using the paracord. Even without it, I bet it would be OK...and yes the RT is on the inside. By the way...on the one toward the rear, I usually tie it off on the grab handle for the passenger and use the cleat for the dock.

I have cleats on the top of my gunnels also. I considered the regular Taylor Made boat bumpers but they take up too much room in my tin boat. However, the Akuas I use on my boat have never given me any issues and to date has stayed where I put them. They are much easier to store and take up less room.
