Question Need a place to stay this Friday through Monday somewhere close to TB

Guy, my wife said Sunday "Let's go to Toledo Bend this weekend"

Now I am trying to find a room for us from Friday 3/23 to Monday 3/26. I know it is probably the most crowded time of the year to go there and it is a spur of the moment trip.
I just want to take my wife to TB again. She hasn't taken any time off from her job in months.

We went there in 2016 and had a great time.

    Any help/suggestions will be appreciated!!
    Hi Mike.

What about boat parking? Easy to charge batteries there?

Alpine Marina has hotel rooms for 49/night if there is any available.

Sabine River Authority has cabins but they are like $130.00 per night.

Your wife might not approve them. They are designed more for fisherMEN in my estimation. My old team tournament friend and I used to stay there, but I never took my wife there, nor would I unless they have had a facelift. Just my $.02 worth

thanks for the info and help guys but we decided, last night to postpone the trip west and stick closer to home and plan WAY ahead for a trip to Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend and maybe Fork. That will be an adventurous trip in a week but doable.

Preacher ed, I did look at Alpine and I agree with you. In 2016 we stayed at Big Bass Marina for 4 days and it was mostly like what you described Alpine to be be like. I also looked at Harborlight Marina. They actually had a room available in the motel but we were really looking for a cabin so we could keep the boat close at night.

Thanks again guys for all the info.

If you plan in advance, and want a fairly decent cabin, check out Bridge Bay.

Holly Park might have something available if you can reserve in advance.
