Which screws were backing out? Can you see/fix while mounted? My port side every now and again made the metal on metal or “like rock being dragged along metal” sound. Figure I will take a look and see. I use the wd40 and idle extended on water and seems to get better but it does return when fully extended and retracting last 2’.

This will make me keep a ratchet strap in the boat. That way I can tilt it down and put a strap from cleat to cleat to hold it until I get on the trailer.

Keep a socket set handy....I have had to manually crank mine up a few times but have never had any problems doing it.

I hear the metal on metal screw noise sliding down secondstage i believe is there a way to fix this?
