    25/HP Alternator

    Hello all
on another part of the forum it was mentioned to me that I will burn out my alternator topping up 2 X 12V batteries. I always start out with full batteries but when cruising the lake moving to other fishing areas I will turn the “Perko” switch to “all”. I use 1 AGM for the motor and 1 AGM for the trolling motor.

Any thoughts on this? I would of thought the alternator would have some sort of limiter to prevent it from burning itself out when charging.

    Thanks!

The charging system is designed to “MAINTAIN the fully charged state of ONE properly rated, fully charged Cranking Battery”.

ONE battery. And NOT the trolling battery.
