    Fishing in July

Family vacation at Folly Beach in July. The rest of family will be seeing the sights, i want to fish. Any freshwater lakes nearby to hire a guide or try saltwater in the bays?

How close do you consider "nearby"? 1.5 hours away are a bunch (Lake Murray, Lake Wateree). Just over an hour is Santee Cooper (Lake Marion and Lake Moultre).

Santee is going to be your best bet to hire a guide. There are a few on here that are great guides and know the water very well

    I'd go inshore fishing.
