Livewell draining while on in plane ... Need some experienced advice

I have a x18 pro and it has the controls on the control panel to fill the livewell and then another switch to either recirculate or empty and a standard drain plug in the bottom.
My problem is it holds water as long as you are not running at plane speeds or higher. I have to keep a constant eye on it and I'm afraid I'll show up to weigh in with dead fish.
Has anyone had this issue ? And how should I go about fixing it?

Are you putting a plug in the drain hole at the bottom of the well?

Yes, the plug is in and it's fine as long as I don't run around.

That seems odd. I have a x19 and if the plug is in, it generally stays full. On longer runs you can tell it has drained to 1/2 or 3/4, but I believe that is from the force of the boat pushing the water to the back of the well and over the overflow hole.

Check the empty switch/valve sounds like it is not shutting completely. Mine does this but it takes 30 minutes or so to drain. No plug so I cant help you there. CJ

mine does it, that xpress loves big lift but the fish in the live well don't lol. I just turn my pump on manual and let it run when im running hard or in high wave conditions.
