Mine is not notched. .... And I see what you mean. But had mine for 2 years have used mine more then a few times for towing and many times for covering overnight. U could sew a pad into that area or more fabric to toughen it up.

I just put an ultrex on my boat and now the cover barely covers over the rub rail on that spot. Didn't know it mattered what trolling motor was on the boat for the cover order... tracker/bass pro ordered mine when I bought the boat. A maxxum was on it, but I did email dowco today to let them know of my issues, hope they help me out
Yeah for the ultrex issue you could probably talk to a Upholstery shop and have them modify the cover.

Try stowing your Ultrex with the Prop facing out before putting the cover on. On mine it fit a lot better that way.

My cover came "with" mine. Part of some promo at my dealer. They had to order it when I purchased my boat so I didn't get it until like 2 weeks afterwards. I'm sure it wasn't free....but I didn't pay out of pocket.

On my Z7, I had to store the TM prop out.....no other way.

I also had a local canvas shop sew in reinforcement at several areas where dowco did not.

My dowco cover was always on the boat, As I stored it outside. It finally came apart to much to make it worth repairing between 5 & 6 yrs old.

When on the boat, it was very tight, and did not move when trailering.

I hope I can still get one thru dowco, and I plan on having them custom modify it prior to delivery.

Yea I was thinking about that.
I'm still waiting on dowco to respond back about the issue, hopefully I hear something tomorrow.

I really only plan on using my cover when trailering for long distances or if it rains. And will cover it in the garage just to keeps the dust off but not really ratchet it, more just lay it over it.

I have a 2016 Z21. It had a DOWCO cover. The cover ripped in multiple places this spring when I pulled the boat with the cover the first time since I purchased the boat last June. DOWCO would not stand by their warranty because I am the second owner. I had Aurora make a cover for me last week. I have had many boats with trailerable custom covers. This one seems to be the most well made and most heavy duty. Fits like a glove. After my experience with DOWCO, I will never buy one of their products.
