Freakin cold tonight. About 1 1/2 -2 inches of snow and still going. If Patoka wasnt bad enough we are going to get hit with 15 mph winds, RAIN and 43 degree top out this weekend. I'm 40 miles south of the lake it could very well be worst the more north ya go. Only thing i can think about is how to stay warm for the BFL. this could be a dream come true but NIGHTMARES are dreams too. Only saving grace for me is I'm a Non-boater not as invested and I dont have the equipment to haul around. Plus i can blame my boater for a bad day.
Patoka tournament 102 boats or teams and only 40 teams caught fish that tells alot, Indiana DNR is a big disappointment. I am surprised they still charge a fee to fish.
So what are you doing to make fishing better? Working with dnr to implement habitat improvement?
https://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/7665.htm I'm sure they will need volunteers soon, might want to call and get on the list.

I still can't believe they actually won...Cubs Fans Everywhere
The BFL looks like it was a lot of fun.

I was there today. Putting new carpet in the lake house. Really nice and warm.
I think today was the worst condintions I have ever been in. Blowing rain and COLD all day. I was a co-angler, and caught two short fish around noon. Pretty sure a lot of the field tapped out early. Cant say I blame them. My boater was 19 - 20 years old and a outstanding young man. It was more like fishing with my regular partner than a stranger. He had everything except waterproof shoes, yet he indured 90% of the day and never complained or said one word about being miserable. I feel good about about catching the two I did given the conditions even thou i did not weigh in. Water temp was 46.2 at the highest and the water was milky to muddy depending on how far back in the cuts we went. Main lake was so rough it was not even considered.
Wow, that looks like it was brutal.
It came up 0.9’ overnight and will come up more in next few days. Gonna make it even better fishing the next few weeks.
To the guys that stuck it out all day Saturday, you're crazy!! I came off the water at 10:45 and still can't feel my fingers 2 days later and the "boys" still haven't dropped back down to their normal position.
March tournaments in Indiana are beyond stupid!! 1/3 of the field quit early for good reasons. It was a disaster from the start, it took 2 hours to get everyone launched, a boat capsized at the ramp before takeoff, the director had started the tourney and called all 133 boat numbers with plenty of boats still waiting to launch etc. It should have been rescheduled and that's me being nice about it. I wasn't involved but a few guys really lit into the director for having the tourney. Only good thing to come out of it is that it was sooooo damn bad I'm in a 107 way tie for 26th place in points.
