RT 198P and 21 Trophy Plus?

How do you guys think a 21 T-plus will run on the 198P? 150 Pro XS 2 stroke. What do you think the Top Speed and RPM will be? I need something I can run max rpm at lakes that are 2500 and 4000 feet. Highland smallie waters in Nor-Cal. I don’t want to buy a bunch of props to try and want to get it right the first time if possible. Thanks, Allen

I would think you would want a 23 pitch. Are you at high altitude or have the boat loaded really heavy? If so a 21 might work.

Nevermind I just reread you post. I saw 21 and thought right off that is wrong. I think you are close but I doubt many on here have the exact knowledge of your situation to help. There are some experienced folks that post here though.

I run a 24 trophy plus with exhaust seal and small holes @5600 58mph on same boat no jack plate. It came with 23 tempest plus that runs a little faster but doesn’t handle as good as trophy

Key words here. Exhaust seal. Make sure you have one these are small bore props for the 75-115 class engines. 150 and up are large bore.

My 198p came with a 23p tempest no jackplate and my boat wouldn’t get on pad at all. I switched to a 21p tempest and it gets up on pad plus I’m running 58 to 61 gps.

I have a RT 188 with 115 Pro XS CT model. I purchased the boat from Anglers Choice Marine. It came with a Tempest 24 Pitch prop (not sure why so big). Boat jumps up on plane and top speed is 49 without a jackplate or set back.

My Brothers partner has a VX 21 Vexus fiberglass and it only has a 23 pitch, so I would say each vessel takes some testing and each one is a little different.
