I come from a Jeep background where you would rotate the spare into the sequence to keep all the tires at the same wear depth. This also extends the time needed to replace your tires.

Including the spare also ensures the spare gets checked for dry rot and proper inflation...
Yup boat and truck all get spare rotated in.
I do, just finished it actually. I only have a single axle so I just rotate them in a clockwise rotation (if looking down on the boat) each year.
I did, had a kumo just unwind, so I’ve quit
just gonna let them turn same way there whole life.
