Puzzled
I've got a 1999 225 Johnson that has always been hard to start on cold start but once it cranks it's fine the rest of the day.
But now it floods no matter what I do any ideas on why it has started this ???

Probably a bad needle and seat in carb (or carbs) or a bad float. Look at the spark
plugs for a difference. I believe that on this motor, the carb is on the opposite side from the cyl.
Looking from the back, the #1 cyl is the top right. Looking at the carbs (from the front of the motor)
#1 carb is on the top right, or the highest carb.

Check the primer solenoid and make sure the pointer is facing towards the bottom and not turned away from the body.

Looks like it was my fuel line I replaced it a couple of years back with the BLUE ethanol proof line .
The liner inside the the line collapsed at the connection at the tank ,the bulb, and the filter at every end so if this is on your boat BEWARE !!!
