Need a water measurement

I have my 300 promax mid disassembled,,for paint and it was a factory 25" with spacer 5" and 20" can. wondering if somebody has a 20 mid/can , water tube apart, in their shop, and could give a measurement from flange where it bolts up,to bottom inside can,to where it slips into water pump. tks. my gut tells me to cut it 5",but wanna be sure,already have order going out for gaskets,studs and shift shaft monday,
