Do the 873 and 894 have the same grip/length?

I have NRX 893 and 894, both amazing rods. Looking for a rod that feels a little less tip heavy, flipping and pitching 3/8 & 1/2 ounce jigs with 18lb flouro. Not heavy cover fishing. Anybody have those rods and the 873 CRR that could tell me if it balances with the tip up a little better?

Based on what I'm seeing, both have handle length of 14 3/4

I have boat flipped 8# redfish from my sighfishing tower that is 5ft above the front deck with my 873crr. It definitely has enough backbone for any size fish.
On the other hand I have thrown a Havoc pitboss on a 1/8oz Owner Beast swimbait hook with it. It'll really do anything in the 1/8-1/2oz range and handle any bass sized fish that bites. It is perfect for 3/8oz jigs though IMHO.

I had the 873 and it was a bit tip heavy. Ive read that it is less tip heavy than the 894 but not sure about the 893. Im sure someone can chime in.

I swapped out the 873 for the FMJ and it is now my favorite jig rod.

Let's not bring the FMJ into the mix here now... I find myself reaching for that rod at every opportunity!

The CRR 873 is less tip heavy than the NRX 893 or 894, yes. It's not as well balanced as the Megabass US Destroyer FMJ however... that is an extremely impressive rod to say the least and holds its own against closely comparable NRX rods in my hands.

I'm going to forget I saw this post and keep on loving my 873...
I need another jig rod like a hole in the head.
