so I ordered the pedestal extensions for my 1987 175. I believe the correct size post is 2 3/8. My boat has a few locking wedge holes located in the back and middle of the boat. Will a 2” be ok? It does come with that black tappered end plastic adapter thingy. I’m just lost once again and could really use some help. Thanks!!!
Springfield Taper-Lock was the OEM base in 1987. Anything else has been changed out. Got any pix of what you're trying to go into?
I changed to swivel eze (US made) and the locking tabs were a little different, they didnt snap in all the way. There was a little wood on the deck in the way, a round rasp cleaned that up and now they snap in place, double check if you go that route.
