    2000 TR19 upgrades

Every winter I add upgrades to my boat... This year was new console graph, dash and steering wheel.. Obviously the graph is nice but I'm loving this steering wheel. It is 4" closer to me and just feels more comfortable.

I found a sunken boat the first time out with it.

If you click on this guys ebay store, they have other cool models. I did have some clearance issues with the center cap that came with it. Basically, I had to eliminate it and put down a carbon fiber decal under the red ring. I thought about having a 1/4" spacer made and using longer bolts but I'm happy how it turned out.

I'll be honest, this is probably my favorite upgrade. Besides the "bling" factor, it's very comfortable.

If your talking about the dash, I made it. Used old dash as a template and covered new with carbon fiber decal material.

Meant to say like not have. Would you consider making one for me? I’d pay you for your time. Just not sure I could get something like that done

Sorry I just don't have time. It's very easy to do yourself. All you need is a jigsaw, 2" hole saw & some sort of a rotary deburr tool. Remove the original and use the perimeter as a template. You can also use any of the stock hole locations.

How hard was it to get the old steering wheel off and did you use the puller tool or the ol' 2x4 technique?

I used those wooden wedge blocks for shimming door frames and put them between the steering wheel hub and column. Back off the nut so it was flush with the shaft and smacked it with a brass hammer.

Best way to do it is with a Steering Wheel Puller.

Mine doesn't have a name on it, any good auto parts store will have them.

Looks great! What length arm/mount did you use for the graph? Getting ready to something similar with my TR-19 and not sure if I should go with 6" or 9".

I went with a 9" but a 6" would have worked... I added a 3/8" thick x 2" x 16" aluminum bar under the dash to mount it to. I could have moved that bar forward and used a 6".
