    ZX200 question

I have a 2007 ZX200 and was lucky to get my hands on a new 200 sho. Motor was installed today so I went to break it in with my old prop which I was running on a 200 hpdi that had motor work done to it. It is a ventless prop but it’s a 27 pitch and after my 2nd hour I brought it on plane playing around with it and it just seems to big. What do most of you turn with the ZX200 setup with a sho

Mine is a 2018 that I just got. I have a little over 3 hours break in on it now. My prop is a 23p 15 1/8 T2. That is the standard prop now. My brother has a 2011 and it has the 25 T1 ventless. I was told by my dealer they switched to the 23p because they weren't getting enough top end rpm. So far with 2 people and around 25 gallons or more of gas with all my gear I've reached around 5700-5900 rpm and 65mph and it was still climbing when I let off the throttle.

    I have a 2007 zx200 with a 200 sho.I originally ran a t1-25 I ran about 65mph. I switched to a 23 and ran 68-69. Now I have flashed ecu and the results are incredible.

Sorry I am not familiar with flashing an ECU? What is it and what does it do? Does it void the engine warentee?

I'm pretty sure it will void your warranty but you get more power out of the engine. The 200, 225 and 250 are all the exact same engine with only a few differences. I believe it's mostly fuel injectors are larger but there is also engine running perimeters that the computer controls. Flashing it changes the programming which allows you to change the HP. I think you can get up to 300hp and higher RPM limits as well.

The only difference from 200 to 300 in 4.2L is the ecu and flash will not void the warranty.

you might want to call yamaha an ask them about warranty on flashing their product information on the net is worth exactly as much as you pay for it.

Flashing the ECU means you are cheating if you fish tournaments, screwing your insurance company, and may be breaking the law.
