USA Older cougar owners, please step in

I recently upgraded the old Pantera to a 2002 Cougar silhouette w/ a 250 xB and 6" manual SlideMaster. What kind of prop to pad numbers are you guys with similar setup running?

Start at 3in PTP and pick a good calm day and load your boat as you would normally run it. I prefer to dial in at a least 1/2-3/4 fuel. Make 3 passes recording numbers each pass. Load boat, raise JP 1/4in and see if they get better. Once you do this and find that your number don't get better drop it back down 1/8in. Always remember heavy weight in the rear and even your load port and starboard. Also pay attention to WP and steering torque as they can tell you a lot. You want to always prop to achieve max RPM at WOT.
