    Seat Post Hole

Many of the Ranger boats have a place to put on seat on the step to the front deck. What is this used for?

Some guy’s use to move the front seat there so they could see better
    without the obstruction.

I have a flat cover so my butt seat goes there when traveling with the cover.

It’s also a handy place to store the front seat on the ride home from the lake. Maybe not the very best place, but better than leaving the seat in place on the front deck, where wobble going down the road might mess up that front pedestal bushing, or loose on the floor of the cockpit, where the seat might roll around and gouge your gelcoat.

I keep mine in the basement. I've had my 361V for 13 years and I've never used the butt seat. For years, I used to carry it in the starboard front storage in case it got too rough but never had to use it. I left it out; one less thing to cart around.
