    Differences Panoptix Transducers

    Hello,

I was wondering about the practical differences between the various Panoptix transducers. The new PS22 has a fixed 20° angle, the old PS21 has 45° and the PS31 has an adjustable angle of 10-40°.
45 sounds like a lot to me. Is 20° a sweet spot or is the smaller angle better?
Also: since the PS22 doesn't support the historical view (for whatever reason), how useful do you think they are compared to the live views for actual fishing?

I have used both. Ps 21 had some clutter due to the wide beam and so many shad in my lakes. The narrower 22 beam doesn’t pick up so much of this.

I've spent time with the 31, 21, and 22. I really like the 20 degree beam of the PS22 for pinpointing targets.
