    New Skeeter Owner

Just took possession of my first Skeeter. 2001 ZX 225. Very excited!
I need to replace the step pad/grip strip that sits at the bow adjacent to the trolling motor.
Anyone have an idea where to pick one of these up?
    Thanks in advance.

Good looking bug! I have a 2000 ZX 202c which is basically the same boat. I know what pad you're talking about. Mine was loose and I never could find a replacement, so i glued it back down. Ive thought about removing it and masking of that area and just put down some non skid paint. I know its not really what your after just throwing another idea out there.

Here's what I did for my 2002. I'm sure the same. Go to Lowe's or the Home Depot and look at rubber floor mats. There are a bunch of them in all kinds of patterns. Pick out one you like, cut it to shape, get some contact cement and glue it down. I put one up front and another between the seats after I took out the center seat. Looks better than new.

Would you happen to have a pix of your finished project you'd be willing to share? Sounds like an interesting option.

Any Skeeter dealer can order you the factory part. It's about $30 or so. Congrats on the new boat!

OR you can get the industrial traction tape on Amazon and make your own. I used the old tape as a template. Pretty easy and much better than the stock tape.
