Club tourney ?

So I fish in a small NH bass club. 8 boats. We fish 7 tourneys a year and some of the guys have expressed the fact that they would like to spice things up a bit. We tend to fish the same general lakes and ponds year after year, even though we vote on which lakes to pick each year. We do the normal top 2 teams for the day and award lunker for the day. Have any of you guys who fish clubs done anything outside the norm and had a MLF style tourney or anything different. 2 weigh ins/ hourly tourney etc??? Just curious. We will continue the same as normal this year but have been trying to think outside the box for some fun different events moving forward. Thanks adam

I have done a blind luck of the draw partners tournament. The way we did it, everyone weighed in their fish and the weights were recorded. We then drew 2 names at a time and those were used for the combined total. In the event that you have an odd # of people the first name drawn would get paired with both his pairing and the odd man out. Kind of different and you should hear the ball busting that goes on with the different pairings.

Our club holds a Mega Bucks format tournament every year. It's one of our best attended events.

paper t's, 2 day mid week t's were the most fun because everyone else was working.Paper t's were single events and peaceful and you didn't have to worry about the partner.
