    Oil Level Sensor

    2003 Mercury 175 Optimax OT749600
    Looking at replacing the oil reservoir on the engine. I have a bad sensor.
    Do you really need to flash the computer? Why?

    Its not a flash, it is simply an oil prime command that is done using a computer.

    It is recommended (requirement) to do an oil prime anytime oil system is serviced to remove any possible air in the system.
