Made a quick video reviewing the storage of my RT178. Had a lot of requests to do this video after my last boat review video. Please like and Subscribe, thank you.

Very nice video and organization of your tackle and accessories. I hope to get my 178 half as nice as yours, it looks like you know where everything is.

The only thing I will offer up is when you are charging your batteries you should prop the lid open, these boats have no external vents and gases will build up in the compartment and could spark causing a fire

That’s a great point sir, mine usually is, for the sake of the video I temporarily closed all the compartments.

Nice Video The interior layout of the 178 is in my opinion the best... Way better than the 188

What is your thoughts on your Yamaha F70? I’m looking at Crestliner as the hull but interested in how the Yamaha performs.

But there's very little storage. I guess it would be ok for a crappie fisherman or one who donates in bass tourneys.

I havent fished any tourneys out on mine yet but I did several in my big glass boats loaded to the gills with tackle and equipment and I donated all the time in tourneys out of them.
Must have carried to much stuff with me.

I carry 14 Plano 3700's and about 7 of the gallon sized zip-lock bags full of lures, that's just in the front step and front compartments of my 178. Usually have 14 rods in the rod box, albeit they are all in rod socks. The storage under, and behind, the passenger seat is left empty for my fishing partner. That is about the same amount of stuff I used to carry in my PII, 361V or the 518 when I had those boats. I still can't catch fish though, I probably should take up golf ........

To the OP, nice video ...

Man... y'all be getting butt hurt over the silliest things. Can y'all not see I quoted Ranger RT where he bashed the 188 and pumped the 178 as he always does? Stirring the pot so to say?

I'm glad I don't own a Ranger. They must come with bottles of skin so sensitive.

What top end are you seeing with the F70? It’s a interesting motor because it’s a 100lbs less than the 75hp. Thanks for that video!

That’s quicker than I first thought. Probably due to the weight of it. Sharp rig for sure!

What is the length of this boat with the tongue folded? Rangers website says 21’ 5”, which seems long for a boat only 17’8”. If you know off the top your head that would be awesome. Thanks!

The trailer is long and that sounds about right. I don't have my boat here or I would measure it but it will not fit under my 20 foot long canopy sticks out a couple of feet. The trailer is also wide and may not fit in 8 foot wide garage doors if they have trim on the side.
