    Propping a Suzuki 250ss

I didn't want to hijack the other thread that started going into the propping topic. I have just ran with the prop that came on the outboard when I got it. I have a spare one too. Both at Suzuki props.
The prop that is currently on there has the number 4RX14 25X28P. I am satisfied with the handling/speed of the one I have on. The main complaint I hear about Suzuki is that they're hard to prop. I'm no super picky. But if there is something I should be looking out for in regards to too high of RPMs or anything else, I would be interested to hear about it.

She'll scream at you on overrev... There is an alarm. I think 6300 is good and then a buzzer.

If you get out of the hole loaded, and can cruise at a speed top end that doesn't get into overrevving, and you're happy, congratulations.

Well I've found my prop then. Because I'm satisfied with everything you listed billnorman1.
Regarding all those number on my prop, which one is important to mention in conversations regarding props. I think it's either the 25 or 28 but don't know.

4RX14 25X28P This means that its a 4 blade prop(4R) The (14 25) is a 14 1/4" diameter prop the (28P) is your pitch. Mostly the pitch of the prop is the number we mostly talk about.

My Suzy has a 3 blade 16 inch diameter prop, 24.5 pitch. Makes up for in diameter what it lacks in pitch plus it was the cheapest one out there.

That's not bad. I have the 28 14.5 zuke prop. I hit 72 or 73 in my procraft. You should be faster than me in the falcon. I have a few more left but the procraft walks some on me past 70ish.
