Anybody know if Phoenix might “void a warranty” or something if I drill a 5/16” hole on both sides of the top cap directly in front of the Talons? I was thinking to add those chrome triangle shaped wire covers, want a clean install without zip ties and such. Any ideas? Right now I’m going in the rigging tube hole, I just don’t like all those cables and how they look. Being able to do that would definitely give it more of a factory look . Thoughts?
Thanks,
Terry
Hope not, that's how most poles and talons are done, including mine. I will snap a pic of what I used later on but its the same thing most guys use for poles also. They are for running cable thru the hull. It's these in the 3/8" size https://haywardsupply.com/products/7200_gaffrig
Use a dremel tool and notch out a round hole in the side of the rigging tube bracket and the fiberglass behind it. Just make sure you dont notch out too much fiberglass that the rigging tube braket wont cover.
