    EFI question

    What year did Mercury start using alternators on EFI models? Thanks!

    Mercury doesn't use "years". Since some models saw an Alternator before others, it's not really possible to say "x date". In general... most started getting them in 2001-2002 (2.5L models)... while others still had a Stator well into the 2005 range.
