I may have to have a talk with it. Only ran 70.5mph this weekend with a full tank of gas tournament loaded with a partner. Didn't catch many fish though.

No I'm not. A Honda was never on my radar. I've always owned Mercury and at this time in my life didn't want to change. That's why I stayed with Lowrance products as well.

I’m wondering if you need to run a temptest, most champs always did better with temptest. Anyone you know that might have one you can try?

I think the extra lift these Charger Elites boats have is due to them tweaking the weight distribution because the hull is the exact same as the Champ 210. They are not any faster but do seem to have more lift. So a Tempest would make it chine walk more and be slower imo. But who knows until it is tried.

Jim, did it drive better with the extra weight of a full tank of gas and a partner?

Could be so, if they are splashing the exact hull I don’t see how they are getting more lift than the original 210 did; but without seeing both in person who knows. The Fury I had was faster when I was empty, but hit the wall and lost its speed when I would load down with weight. (I actually had a fury4 though, so might be different).

But i always thought that the Fury was supposed to be deeper in the water, he’s got a hydro plate though so I know he’s tried different depths with it. I’m also curious if the chinewalking was better with the extra weight.

Could also just be a tight motor as Dan said.

Fury does run better lower on the jackplate.
