Someone needs to jump on this. I just got a new sporty but for that price, it would be a great spare for someone to have considering the retail price on a brand new bolt-on sportmaster.

I run a really heavily loaded boat. I am good with the 1.75s and a 28 bravo XS. Hole shot is a little sluggish when wells are full.
What are you guys opinions of going to 1.62?

What rpm's are you running with the 1.75's. You would have to go down 2" in prop pitch to achieve the same or close to the same rpm at wot. Not sure about wot speed with a smaller prop, my rig likes the bigger props to put up the bigger numbers. I run 1.75's for tournament running and 1.62's for winter running.

I would say your in the right rpm range. Going to 1.62's will drop the rpm approx 400/450 rpm with the same prop. This is what I have experienced with my rig. That's why I feel you will need a 26p in the same prop.
