Z-7 Trolling Motor Change

I'm sure someone on here has changed their tolling motor to a larger size and base mount than the original.
Any problems doing so? This is on a 2010 Z-7 which now has the 70 Pro Series.

I had a 2010 Z7 that I upgraded the TM mount on. No issues. Everything lined up perfectly. It should be fine unless you switch to minn kota.

I switched from motor guide xi3 to minkota ultrex on my 2014 z7sport with no problem....holes mounted up perfect. I did have a quick remove plate installed from the factory, but no issues at akk
