    Safety chain/cable

I noticed my 2016 Bass Cat trailer does not have a safety chain/cable. Has anyone added one to their trailer? Do you have photos showing where and how you installed it?
    Thanks

I got a safety strap from bass pro parts after seeing the one my step dad's tracker trailer had. I installed it on the u bolt the bass cat trailer came with. When i was in an accident totalling my truck and trailer, it held the nose on the trailer even though the winch was all twisted up with the frame. It actually bent the eye on the hull which was repaaired allong with the fibeglass work that was needed. Think it helped keep the boat out of the bed of my truck when I T-boned a car.
when I first asked them to find me one I had to hold their hand for them to find the strap as not all of their trailers have one long enough. It was stock part on a Tracker Avalanche trailer. I have a PIV. Can try to post a pic later.

I always thought that it was the law. Guess I'm wrong.

I have installed one on every boat that I have owned. When I bought my PIV I went to Lowes home improvement and bought some rubber coated chain and 2 heavy duty snap links. Added a snap link to the other end on the chain and wrapped it around the center of the trailer frame. I can text you a pic you would like.

We believe they are speaking of the trailer to boat latch. The trailers all have safety cables standard.

This is what I purchased. Fits perfect and doesnt drag the ground when unhooked.

I got a heavy chain link and used u-bolts to attach each end. I have had three BCB and none came with it from the factory.

Allison uses a turnbuckle, brilliant idea.
