    Getting scum off my boat

so after my boat lift failed last season, my boat sat in the water for over a month tied to my dock. I ended up with a scum line and general build up below the water line.

Does any one have a good product to get this off? I tried bassboat saver but it didn't get it off. Looking for that magic product that works.

Once you get it off considered putting ceramic pro 9h on your boat. Is permanent bond and you will never have to wash/wax again. Just spray off with water from hose and its like new again. Detailer did my boat and outboard. First he washed waxed/polished boat to shine and then added the coating.

I use a 50/50 water / white vinegar mix and have had good results. Might need a stronger mix in you case.

My boat was in the water from mid-April to late-October last year, minus two weeks in July. 50/50 water and vinegar took any scum line right off.

Try Shurdolds Buff Magic , it does a good job and will not effect your finish , I had a hard time getting water spots off my engine cowl and it worked like a dream leaving no marks on the dark blue surface .

White vinegar hot from the microwave mixed with Dawn dish detergent. Mix it while the vinegar is hot 50% Dawn 50% vinegar in a spray bottle from a parts house and shake it up to mix it. Junk Walmart type sprayer won’t handle it. Spay it on and let it set about 30 minutes. Take hose and sponge and wash it off. You will be amazed. For the motor use straight CLR and a rag.
