recently had my prop shaft replaced due to a strike but need the prop fixed as well

I tested the boat out today after being in the shop for a replaced propshaft. The mechanic said the prop needs to be fixed back because its bent from whatever I hit. I noticed while running it I could definitely feel a vibration at midrange speeds. I assume that's normal on a bent prop? also, what kind of work should I have done to the prop to make it better than new? part of the insurance claim was a new in the box prop but I might as well make the old one nice again. The new prop has not been installed.

Running a bent prop can re damage the lower unit.... If you were in the correct pm range and happy with the lift, I'd just get it repaired.

That bent prop will take the lower unit seals out in no time.

Makes sense. I didn’t run it more than a half mile tops and no more than 30 mph. New prop goes on this week!
