    Hole Under Trolling Pedal

Discovered this hole under my Trolling pedal. Clearly a piece is supposed go be there. Didn't find a part in BassCat store. Tried a 4 inch deck fitting. It was barely too big. That siliconed area looks unnatural but the hole itself looks standard. Any suggestions? Discovered it after owning boat. So no idea what, if anything, used to be there. Thanks as always

You are one of the fortunate ones that have a factory cut access hole to make for easier working on the bow wiring or trolling motor base. I wish I had one on my Puma. I think BassCat can supply a cover.

It's the access hatch for the trolling motor and electronics. BassCat has the cover.

Is it someplace on the BassCat Store? Or do I need to call the parts department and ask for one?

If you don't have them, you'll need the four little spacers that elevate the pedal just a tad to clear the cover.

Yeah, something is up with that hole? Should be just a round hole. Looks like someone did some modifying for some reason. Not sure on covering that whole thing.

Yes, I think it will take alot of water in there especially uncovered like that. I`m guessing 95% of the water that comes over the bow will end up in there.

I have no idea why the plate is missing and no idea why that additional notch was cut in the first place. But silicone was the best one could do after cutting if though. I'm ordering the part off the store. The spacers are on my pedal.

Are these standard now? If not, can one get a hand/arm through the drink holder hole of a P2?

Here is what I did on my 2009 Puma. These ring is screwed and sealed. The cap will thread out to get inside, also the Pedal on the ultrex, if your running a motor guide, all you need to do is add taller rubber feet. You can get those from Lowes, Home Depot... Any question text me at 817-929-0675

It’s a 6” cover that goes over that I believe. There should be one. Whoever has worked on your boat or had your boat before took it off.

My 2015 P2 and 2019 Classic both came with that access port, so I would assume they are now standard.

I would be tempted to take the time to sand/rough up the edges of that notch, tape waxed/greased hard plastic underneath and epoxy + fiber in that notch, then sand and re-install the cover you ordered.

The round hole is certainly factory but the notch is not. I have been researching doing some type of dual stack at the bow and there are guys saying they have to notch the hole in order to get a backing plate under the deck for support of the two units. No one has posted pictures though. Do you by chance have a dual stack at the bow?
